Each device comes with a 3 month warranty from the date of purchase, as inidicated by the form signed by the buyer.

Laptops require an operating systems such as Microsoft Windows which can be purchased for around $50 NZD.

Prices for laptops with drives:

• $270 for 250 GB drive

• $290 for 500GB drive

We have a limit for purchasing to 1 type of device per person

(eg. you may only purchase one desktop, but can buy a monitor as well).

You will be asked to show your university staff or student ID.

The e-Waste team has tested each of the products to make sure that they are in working condition at time of purchase and will have a printout attached.

Every purchase made in Te Oraka, directly funds our process of ensuring we rescue usable technology from going to recycling, increasing our sustainable mission.

This supports us to purchase more cleaning supplies and new drives for laptops.

To ensure equitable and fair access to these second hand goods, we have fixed pricing.

These prices are competitive to similar products that you can find at resellers for the purpose of being easily accessible to the University of Otago community.
