Ngā ihi oneone was the name given to us by Ben Sommerville. It means “those who get their noses dirty” (aka brown nosers) and is a kupu whakarite for those who work hard.

Gardening club is also more than getting your hands dirty, it’s a space to connect with people from all over the university, learn more about gardening in Dunedin and be in tune with the seasons.

We have two sustainability neighbourhoods on campus where the gardens are located - He kāika toitū, he kāika ora and Te rua tī.

With two gardens across campus, every Garden Club session offers something unique. The club meets twice a week for an hour, alternating between the two. If you come to both sessions, you'll enjoy a different experience each time!
