Sourced across 18 hives in 8 locations across Otago campus including Colleges and the Sustainability Neighbourhood.
Cared for by our beekeeper Otto, from Otto’s Bees.
Otto has grown up with bees driving his passion to work with these wee guys. His care and aroha shown to our campus hives makes for happy bees and delicious honey.
In 2025 Otto harvest over 450kg of honey from our 18 hives. These go to College kitchens for residents to enjoy and are available for purchase in Te Oraka.
You can pick up 250g for $5 or 500g for $10.
